Used Plastics as Coke Substitution in Iron Works

Summary

After the Law for the Promotion of Sorted Collection and Recycling of Containers and Packages has been enforced in April 2000 in Kawasaki, levies for recycling other plastics were imposed. NKK operates a process where plastics are injected into blast furnaces of iron-works as coke-substituted material.
