

Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate was established in 1985 under management of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT). The Estate is one of the twenty-nine estates in Thailand and it is the biggest one located in Rayong Province. It has been reserved for the petrochemical industry and its downstream processes to enhance the value of natural gas reserves from the Gulf of Thailand (GTZ 2000; Homchean 2004).
