Bottom and Fly Ash Used in Building and Construction

Summary

Coal ash produced from coal fired power plants can be separated into fly ash, which is a very fine powder material from coal combustion and bottom ash, which is much coarser. In the Map Ta Phut industrial estate fly and bottom ash from coal combustion are sent to The Sea Board Co Ltd to be used as an ingredient in concrete blocks. In addition the fly and bottom ash are sent to Pioneer Cement Plant to be used in cement production.
