Professional and Personal Development Program

CSRP endeavoured to develop a Professional and Personal Development Program that would broaden the background of our students and research staff and allow them to develop a diversity that will result in greater value to the individual as well as to the industries that employ them.

These courses included both Professional Development topics (e.g. financial management, project organisation and development) and Personal Development (e.g. presentation skills, leadership training). Every effort was made to collaborate with other CRCs when possible in order to put forward a wide array of course offerings.

The form of the Education Program ranged from seminars by distinguished visitors, which might be relevant to only one sector of the industry, through to multi-day courses and conferences on very broad topics.

CSRP ceased operations on 31 October 2010 and will no longer be offering PD activities.

Vocational Education and Training (VET)

One of the key aims of CSRP was to translate the general concepts of sustainability into innovative and tangible performance improvements at operational sites.

As an associate partner, Central TAFE WA supported this educational objective of CSRP by helping to provide education and training programs covering a broad range of sustainable development principles and issues to paraprofessionals, operators and technicians in the mineral processing industry.
