The Geopolymer Alliance aims to enhance the sustainability of the construction, mining and power industries by promoting the uptake of geopolymer technology. Many by-products of the mining, metals refining and power generation industries that have traditionally been treated as wastes can, in fact, be used as binders to form geopolymer cements with considerable economic and environmental benefits.
The Alliance is an initiative proposed by CSRP that aims to cooperatively develop mutually beneficial applications for geopolymer technology by bringing together research institutes, the engineering fraternity, Government authorities, industrial by-product generators, cement manufacturers, chemicals suppliers, concrete aggregate suppliers, concrete manufacturers, infrastructure owners and industry regulators.
The Geopolymer Alliance will be founded on collaboration, not competition. It does not seek to own individual research or ideas, but rather to champion the development of this field and uptake of this technology for the benefit of all.
Benefits to members include:
These and other benefits are explained in detail in the Prospectus, which contains more information about the Geopolymer Alliance and becoming a member.
