Internal Review
An internal review of current research was completed this month. The purpose of the review was to examine the overall performance of CSRP as well as the individual projects to ensure that the CSRP research portfolio is well balanced and that our objectives are able to be met. Below is a brief summary of key findings and recommendations.
Overall CSRP is performing well and compares favourably with similar organisations at the same stage of development particularly with reference to:
- good governance & risk management
- vision – there is a good understanding of where we are heading and how we will get there
- development of programs
- concepts of tech transfer
Four key areas of opportunities for improvement were identified by the review:
- promotion of value of CSRP
- ISC structure and influence
- demonstration projects
- Program 1 – program development
DEST 3rd Year Review
The DEST 3rd Year Review is now well under way. The Independent Review Panel has been appointed and the Industry Survey is currently underway. The Independent Review Panel will be visiting CSRP members in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth to conduct the interviews during the week beginning the 23rd October. A detailed program for the week will be distributed shortly, including who will be required to assist with the review.
