Request to Publish and Standard Acknowledgement Forms

The request to publish and standard acknowledgement forms are located on Centric. Staff are reminded that any article or presentation that contains information from or references to CSRP projects must have a request to publish form sent to the Program Leader then on to CSRP HQ, and that standard acknowledgements are to be used. These documents can be downloaded from CRC Centric. For any questions regarding this process please contact Tony Rickards.

Welcome to BlueScope Steel

We welcome BlueScope Steel to the CSRP as a New Associate Participant and look forward to collaboratively working on projects that support the sustainability of processing steel and steel products. See also their website at: http://www.bluescopesteel.com.au/

CSRP TAP Meeting

On May the 8 th and 9 th the Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) Meeting was held in Brisbane at the University of Queensland. Program leaders and CSRP CEO and staff engaged in strategic planning and reporting sessions over 2 days. The meetings included a CSRP program wide teleconference and reporting session and a review of all project activities.

Cooperative Research Centres Association Conference

During May 16 th – 18th the 12 th Annual CRCA conference was conducted at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. CSRP staff participated in all conference sessions including specialist workshop and collaboration sessions for CEO’s, Education and Training Managers, Business Managers and Communications Managers. CSRP also provided an exhibition stand with GeoPolymer demonstration samples and information about the CSRP.

CSRP Award Winners

 

Congratulations to Rorie Gilligan, Patrick Hassett and Matthew Livingston who were all presented with CSRP Extractive Metallurgy Academic Awards at Murdoch University on Friday 11 th of May.

CSRP Chief Executive Mr Stevan Green presented the awards in a ceremony that was also attended by other CSRP staff, Rio Tinto graduate recruitment staff and Murdoch University staff.

Kent Street High School Triple S Science Night

On Tuesday May 22 nd, Kent Street High School hosted a Triple S Science Fair to demonstrate, amongst other activities, extractive metallurgy and minerals processing as a career. Western Australia’s Chief Scientist Professor Lyn Beazley officiated on the evening.  

CSRP HQ Administrative Assistant Megan Goldspink provided these photographs of the evening. The Triple S group hosts 2 free Science fairs each year for students, parents and community members.

Our CSRP Conference

The CSRP conference for participants in CSRP activities will be held in Melbourne this year. The aim of the conference is to bring together all CSRP members and to exchange ideas and learn about projects in the many areas that we work in. The conference also seeks to showcase staff and student research from each project area of the CSRP community including industry partners.

The dates for this conference are November 21 st and 22 nd, 2007.

Please put this date in your diaries.
